We have been blessed with an AWESOME Caller -- the ONE and ONLY Daryl Clendenin
Daryl Clendenin has been calling and teaching since 1969. He has traveled internationally as a full time professional until 2003 when he semi-retired to his home in Oregon.
Daryl has conducted seminars and clinics in and out of the United States. He was the owner/Producer of Chinook and Hoedowner Records. He recorded on those and others as well.
He teaches on-going callers’ schools locally and has conducted annual callers’ colleges each July at Circle 8 Ranch in Cle Elum, Washington for almost 40 years.
Daryl retired from full-time calling in 2003 and settled back to being a club caller in Portland. During the pandemic he decided that he was too old to return to being responsible for maintaining a club. He retired from calling and went back to being a square dancer.
After filling in for a long-time caller friend, he realized how much he missed calling and teaching. He became club caller for the Columbia River Dancers in 2023 and is happy to be doing what has been a passion of his for over 50 years.
To all of our previous and upcoming GUEST CALLERS and CUERS: THANK YOU!
Thank you for all you do to make our dances so enjoyable!
